About
Hello! My name is Ankita and I am a Master’s in Public Policy student at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS).

Before HKS, I ran several capacity building programs to help early- to mid-stage, mostly grassroots NGOs in India to scale their programs and interventions on the ground. As a policy student, I am now interested in translating my grassroots experience into policy change at a global level. I am particularly passionate about conducting research and policy analysis on gender issues, with a focus on gender-based violence and economic empowerment of all women.

This summer— thanks to the generous support of the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School— I will be interning with the World Bank’s Women’s Business and Law (WBL) Project. In this role, I will be conducting research and developing policy recommendations to address the legal barriers that restrict women’s access to justice and the implications of these barriers on women’s economic empowerment.

Thanks for visiting my blog and feel free to reach out to continue the conversation!
